In spite of a mintage of 56,000 pieces, this is one of the rarest dates that exist in this long struck series. NGC has graded only 2 coins in AU50 and 4 more in all higher grades. They have also graded only 3 coins in all lower grades. PCGS has graded a total of 20 coins in all grades. These coins appear seldom in auction with our records showing only 3 pieces traded in all grades for the past 8 years with the last one being offered in 2005.
