This is another one of America's true early rarities. With a small mintage of 6,738 coins, the survival rate is very low. In fact, NGC has graded only 3 XF40 coins and only 13 more in all higher grades to MS65. PCGS has graded a total of 15 coins in the same grades. From these figures, you can see that this is a coin that is seldom offered for sale. This specimen has a light silvery gray color with darker toning about its rims. It has good details for the grade, the surfaces are very nice and clean, and the coin is totally problem free. This is a nice coin with very good eye appeal that is well worth the money. From the Old Roswell Mill Collection.
