This is one of the rarest of the rarest of all mint state Barber halves!!! To date, NGC has certified only 5 coins in MS64 and 7 in all higher grades. This date appears in auction in this grade (or higher) maybe a couple of times a year. It is the first one that we have owned in this grade, and the first we have been offered as far as I can remember. Barber halves are a very collectible and complete able series of coins, and there are many ardent admirers and collectors of them today. This coin is totally original and has a light silvery white color. The surfaces are proof life and unmarked. The luster is fantastic. Its eye appeal is exceptional. With a gray sheet value of $9,500 bid and $10,500 ask, it is very reasonably priced for its rarity.
