A sharply struck coin that has strong details and good eye appeal. Overall its surfaces are really nice, but there is a little bit of porosity on the reverse (as is common with many of these early copper coins). If it were not for this, this coin would be in at least a VF30 holder. This coin is ranked #62 in Jeff Garrett's book, "100 Greatest U.S. Coins." It is also a coin that is extremely rare in fine or very find condition. Usually you see them in fair or about good or uncirculated condition, so this is your chance to obtain a nice middle range coin that is offered for sale only a few times each year. Look at this one carefully if it is on your wish list.
